Why Apply?   2024/25

Scholarships provide financial support for students to help pay for a college degree. These funds enable students to obtain education they may not have had access to otherwise. UNICO believes that Scholarships go further than just being financial aid for many students, they reward deserving students with the ability to afford higher education and give those students a sense of accomplishment for a job well done. They are a reward for past struggles that will help brighten their future endeavors.

UNICO Kansas City Scholarships

​Each year the UNICO Kansas City Chapter sponsors a number of events to raise money to fund scholarships for local high school graduates. Events include the UNICO Microbrew Festival, Kansas City Ethnic Festival and Festa Italiana, the largest fundraiser of the year. Scholarship recipients are honored each year at this event.

Since 2010, UNICO has averaged more than $40,000 in annual scholarships to local high school students during our Festa Italiana event. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and the display of UNICO values.

UNICO National

These scholarships are awarded from UNICO National and NOT from UNICO Kansas City. UNICO Kansas City will present awards to all recipients at the annual Festa Italiana.
