Buona Pasqua!

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter and enjoyed time with family and friends celebrating your faith.

Spring is bringing us a roller coaster of weather.  Right now I am mowing my lawn twice a week just to keep up.  But with these April rains, I look forward to the beauty that May will bring.  The beauty of growth and rebirth, and the reminders of how wonderful spring can be.

UNICO Scholarships— Our scholarship committee has worked hard to select 38 scholarships recipients this year awarding a total of $65,000.

Festa Italiana 2026— Reminder that we need your support.  Mark your calendar for May 29th, 30th and 31st for our annual festival!  Volunteers will be needed all weekend, but most importantly, plan to be there to celebrate our heritage for the entire weekend!

Festa Italiana 50/50 Raffle— I have sent out a follow up email with the details of our UNICO raffle and the incentive for members to sell their tickets.  Please follow up if you are unable to sell your tickets so we can collect them from you.  Deadline for the UNICO pre-sale incentive ends on May 5th.

May Scholarship Dinner — Our May dinner will be at the Jewel Event Space again this year.  Please join us as we invite our scholarship winners and their families to join us in a celebration of their achievements.  It is your opportunity to meet and greet the winners up close, and to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

Bring a potential member—The April monthly meetings is a great time to bring a potential member with you as your guest to dinner.  Our Chapter covers the dinner expense for all 1st time guests you have invited as a potential member.

Youth Members —Italian Americans age 18-25 are welcome and encouraged to join our chapter.  Our chapter covers the cost of your annual dues, and we also cover the cost of their meals at our monthly dinners.  If you would like to invite a potential youth member to be your guest, we would enjoy the opportunity to meet them.

A presto,

Michael A. Cucchiara

This is a warm and uplifting update that beautifully connects seasonal change with community activities and upcoming events. The focus on scholarships, volunteer support, and cultural celebration through Festa Italiana highlights how important community involvement is in fostering growth, opportunity, and shared heritage. It also reflects how organizations bring people together to support education and tradition. For students managing academics alongside extracurricular commitments, a high school level course helper can provide useful support in staying organized, improving study habits, and balancing school responsibilities more effectively.
