Hopefully everyone is enjoying some of the benefits of summer. I sincerely hope everyone had an oppor-tunity to enjoy the holiday with friends and family celebrating the freedom of our great nation. Independ-ence Day was celebrated at home this year by my family, and of course it included fireworks!

Summer is upon us! Children are out of school, backyard grills are heating up, swimming pools are filling up, vacations are being planned, and our biggest event of the year is in the books.

For many of us, this is the highlight of year as a member of our chapter. Over the next few weeks we will spotlight the very best of what it means to be Italian Americans. From the opportunity to volunteer along-side my fellow UNICAN’s as we stage for Festa.

It is the season of rebirth, resurrection and growth! I am sending out prayers for blessings to all during this week and truly hope you spend time celebrating with those that are of most importance to you.

While our favorite hometown football team fell short of their overall goal, it has been a truly great ride and we have all been very fortunate to witness greatness again this season. We have great coaching and a great core, so I am sure we will have more great seasons to come.

The holiday season is behind us, and for many of us it was a bitter sweet end of the 2024 calendar year. I sincerely hope you spent much time with those that are most important to you. I was able to celebrate with several of our annual family traditions.
